Yoga
By The Sea has been running since June 2007. Instructor Bridget
Kelly has ten years of experience, a real love of yoga and a passion
for sharing this with others.
Classes are affordable, accessible and open to all
ages and levels of ability. Men and women are welcome.
All classes incorporate:
Iyengar alignment to prevent
injury and give you alternatives with props if you have difficulty
or injuries and inversions (great for
circulation and internal health!)
Astanga sun salutes (build heat, create a purifying
sweat, ridding the body of toxins, giving you a good
workout).
Vinyasa flow (linking a series of postures).
Kundalini exercises (to help give you energy and working
with chakras).
Pranayama and Kriya (specific breathing/cleansing
techniques).
Qi Gong (balances meridians, energy/chi flow).
Yoga Nidra to the sound of the waves lapping outside
(deep relaxation to help calm your mind and heal the body).
Whether you are wanting to correct postural problems, or looking
for a physical challenge, or just want to stretch out and rejuvinate
your
body, you will be satisfied!
In this friendly environment you will gain strength, flexibility
and focus, aquire balance in times of stress and release tension
allowing you a true relaxation
Regular classes are a great way to improve muscle memory and the
best way to start or end your day. Come, unwind and focus on
your body in order to build awareness of your posture and understand
the
benefits of the practise.
Your
aim is not for perfection
and symmetry but for general well being and peace of mind. Classes
are sometimes
a challenge but always make you feel refreshed and serene.
Free homemade chai is offered at the end of every class.
